Blasphemy, you say? Why do a tribute to a guitarist who insisted on never playing
solos and openly despised virtuoso playing? Because Johnny Ramone, and the Ramones,
influenced a generation of punk rockers from the Sex Pistols to Green Day. Even metal
guys like Paul Gilbert claim Johnny Ramone's "buzz saw" style of playing influenced them.
Beware the blast of noise that comes from a cheap Mosrite blaring through Marshall stacks--
this will be a rocking assault for the ears. Tom Kenny, the voice of the "Spongebob Squarepants" cartoon character, was a very convincing Joey Ramone.         |
