David "Honeyboy" Edwards

Talk about a pedigree! David "Honeyboy" Edwards is blues royalty. Can you believe that a man still walks the earth who not only knew and played with Robert Johnson, but was actually present that night in 1938 when Johnson was poisoned by a jealous boyfriend in Mississippi? Honeyboy was there. How about a man who knew Charlie Patton, Son House, and Tommy Johnson? Honeyboy knew them all. Field recordings by Alan Lomax in 1942? Recorded for Sun and Chess Records? That's Honeyboy. The man who played the part of "old blues musician" in the recent megafilm Walk Hard? Once again, we're talking about David "Honeyboy" Edwards, the last of the original Delta blues guitarists.

Honeyboy was ably accompanied by Joel Paterson of the Modern Sounds.
