Duane Eddy |
|
We've been trying to get Duane Eddy for years, and it finally happened! The original king of "twangy"
guitar was LIVE in person at the Guitar Geek Festival performing his signature hit records "Peter Gunn,"
"Rebel Rouser," "40 Miles Of Bad Road," "Ramrod," and many more! His band featured Ron Dziubla on sax, Deke on bass, Crazy Joe on rhythm guitar, Chris Sprague on drums, and Pete Curry on piano and bongos. Duane Eddy is a legendary guitar hero, and perhaps the most successful instrumentalist in rock and roll history. He has charted 15 top-40 singles and has sold more than 100 million records worldwide. John Fogerty declared, "Duane Eddy was the front guy, the first rock and roll guitar god." Paul McCartney recruited Eddy to play on his "Rockestra Theme" in 1987, and George Harrison played on Duane's comeback album of the same year. Duane Eddy was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. |
