Buck Owens's right-hand man Don Rich made many of Buck's hits
memorable with his twangy Bakersfield style of Telecaster chicken-pickin'.
Many "guitar geeks" also revere his solo instrumentals, which proved him to
be one of the best country guitar masters in his own right. His death at
age thirty-two in 1974 was an early and untimely end to one of the greats. Don Rich's
sons were in attendance for the tribute.
